Four Weeks!

Light Pink went to a great hunting home, I don't think she will be spoiled at all........ :)

Lucy is my son's British Field Lab, she is an outstanding bird dog, Duck and Goose retriever and wonderful family dog. Her     lines come directly from England.

Jasper's(sire) lines also originate in England, with English field champions and the 2005 IGL National Champion in his pedigree.  He has earned a Hunting Retriever Champion and Upland Hunter from the United Kennel Club.

We have four females available.  As you can see, we have black, black and more black!

If you know of anyone that would be interested in an outstanding hunting/family prospect, please pass this along!

Both Lucy and Jasper are from Kinross Kennels, bred by John and Beth Johnston.

Jasper is a large British male at 68 pounds.  He is a Chloe x Shiloh son and is owned by Chris Postma.  Chris has dedicated many hours to hunting and training with Jasper.  Chris has run Jasper in the UKC Hunt Tests, where Jasper completed the Started Level, the Seasoned Level, and the Finished Level and is now a Hunting Retriever Champion.  Jasper has hunted extensively for waterfowl and pheasants in both North Dakota and Michigan.  OFA hip scores are good and his DNA clearances are pending.

This was the pups first big adventure out in the front yard with no other pups around.  You can see they are a little underfoot!  When you come to choose you puppy and you take each one of them outside with you for a walk, I suspect they will be a little bolder.  But who knows?  They are just 8 weeks old and it is a big world!!!

Week Three!

It always surprises me how often everyone gets the pup they want!  Our last pick puppy was their first pick and same with all the others!  Great homes all!!

Two Weeks!

Most of you are probably spending a sleepless night or two, but remember, just like all babies, they eventually sleep through the night!  And just like all babies, you blink your eyes and they are all grown up.  So enjoy your babies

I want to thank everyone for allowing me to be a part of your new family members life.  With a little good luck, these pups will enrich your life for the next 12 to 15 years.  They have been given a great start, now they need to learn to fit into your family.  These next few months are critical in their training.  Remember that what might be cute in a puppy, isn’t always cute in an adult dog, so keep that in mind with what you allow your pup to get away with!

Right now you will accomplish a good basis for all future learning!  Keep them socialized with a good puppy kindergarten.  What you teach them now will establish the groundwork that will give you a great Brittany for years to come!  They love to please, make it fun for you and your pup!

Please keep in touch and let me know how your pup is progressing.  I would love to know what the full size of these pups turns out to be.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me and I will try to answer any questions and concerns you may have.  Your littermate owners are also a great source of information for you!  Feel free to download any pics from the webpage, it is now under past litters. Remember that I always love getting pictures and stories!

Thanks again for letting me share the beginning weeks of your new best friends!!

Take care and HAVE FUN!!!!!

 Chew-Worthy

For those of you looking to get some great things to chew for your new puppy, I can highly recommend this assortment, field tested when Riley was 6 months old!  I found that the Whimzees, although expensive, were a great time chewer for young puppies.  The smallest toothbrushes got me about 20 minutes, medium about 40 and the larger ones, up to an hour!  That's one hour of a busy puppy!  A good thing!!!!  She got one every morning while we had coffee and at night if the big dogs were put away!  They are not for adult dogs unless you have an unlimited budget, they still love them, but adult jaws go through them in seconds .

I like the benebones because of the curve on them.  Straight Nylabones sit around my house, but these two are chewed by all my dogs.  Most of these products are available at any good pet store.  Other favorites are a soft chew animal and a kong tennis ball
